Aspect Furniture’s 2017 Workplace Networking Luncheon in Canberra

Aspect Furniture hosted their annual Workplace luncheon in Canberra on Thursday 19th October. The networking luncheon, was held in The BoatHouse on the shores of the lake providing an excellent backdrop to the informative and thought-provoking presentations by the guest speakers.

Andy McCulloch, National Sales Manager, opened the luncheon with recognition of the outstanding attendance to this year’s event and introduced Aspect’s new ACT State Manager, Mauro Vecchi, who will be based at the new Canberra office space that is in early stages of construction.

Kai Schindlmayr of Kernel Property gave an inspiring and stimulating presentation on current workplace trends, followed by sociologist Kylie Watson who summarised the issues facing the modern workplace with Digital Disruption and Change Management and the way to manage these. The final presentation was by an avid ‘Canberran’, Paul Powderly, whose enthusiasm for the future of the capital city is always contagious, and outlined the great opportunities in the design industry within Canberra over the next few years.

Kirsty Westaway, an associate at Munns Sly Moore Architects, was enthused by the event saying, “Thanks so much for putting on the exceptional lunch today, it included great learning material and was an excellent opportunity for catching up with many colleagues and connections”
