A workplace built around connection. Welcoming, open and shaped by the landscape around it.

Location: Christchurch | Size: 1,645m²

Christchurch International Airport’s new office is a workplace built around connection and wellbeing. At its centre is a ‘social heart’, a hub for welcoming, meeting and informal interaction. Workspaces sit around the perimeter of the floor, with breakout areas punctuating the focused zones to bring teams together across the floor plate. The office takes its identity from the landscape around it, with meeting rooms named after local mountain ranges and filled with local art.

Aspect worked alongside Architectus to supply furniture that is as functional as it is collaborative. Flexible meeting and working areas throughout the office invite connection between team members and give each space a clear purpose. The social heart is furnished entirely with Aspect products, with a range that spans Drift modular seating, Forum booths, Kusabi tables, Akita chairs and Wednesday stools. Each piece complements the next, creating a cohesive, welcoming space.

Aspect also worked closely with the project staging, so each zone was ready for immediate use and the team could move in quickly while the project continued around them. The result is an office where flexibility, comfort and collaboration support the way people work.
