A harmonious co-location.

Location: Wellington | Size: 12,000m²

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) have recently created a co-located workplace with the Ministry of Primary Industries at 25 The Terrace in Wellington.

Spanning across multiple levels, this flexible new space was designed by Warren and Mahoney architects, and caters for approximately 1,219 people from the two agencies.

Custom seating and Sector café tables are paired with fully-upholstered Babila chairs, creating a colourful, energetic atmosphere in the break-out spaces.

Aspect were thrilled to take part in this amazing transformation of what was previously a dated office building. The client were looking for a credible supplier who had the capability and experience to deliver the volume and quality of furniture required.

An important prerequisite for selection was to have a good track record in the successful completion of office fit-out projects, and to be able to work with MBIE and their consultants collaboratively to achieve a customised solution with a successful outcome.

The Aspect team worked closely with the client and their consultants to deliver a truly agile workplace that provides the occupants with multiple workpoint configurations to suit different styles of working.

Our solution ranged from semi-private focus booths to collaborative settings and shared project spaces. Aspect partnered with local New Zealand designers to deliver a range of bespoke furniture pieces for the front-of-house spaces.
